Redhawks Soar in NCEA Scrimmage

The Equestrian Team started strong this past weekend in the first competition of the season.  Six Redhawks and coach Lori Cramer traveled to Dover, Delaware to compete against Delaware State University and Kansas State University in an NCEA scrimmage.  MUET hunt seat riders Allie Drost, Jackie Yeager, Charlotte Tate, Caroline Hurst, Alex Roe, and Taylor Myers teamed up with Ohio State’s western team.  The scrimmage was a head to head format with both riders competing on the same horse.

Team Ohio took on Delaware State during day one of competition.   It was a nail biter throughout with both teams showcasing strength and determination.  Team Ohio ended the day in first place with a score of 8-6.  During the second day of competition, Team Miami took on Kansas State.  Kansas State beat Miami/OSU with a score of 9-6.  Jackie Yeager was named MVP during the competition, earning the highest scores of the day in both Hunt Seat Flat and Over Fences.  Congrats to Miami on a strong showing.
