The progress of Miami University Equestrian

Western Team Competes at OUS

The second IHSA Western double header horse show of the season was hosted by Ohio University Southern on Sunday, November 3.  Miami’s riders brought their A game, ready to compete.

The competition was steep and there were some pretty challenging horses, but it didn’t seem to slow down MU riders.  During the morning show, walk/jog riders Megan Krug and Anna McFarland earned first place in their respective classes.  The team finished Reserve Champion overall.  Highlights from the PM show include second place finishes by both Megan Perry and Kathleen Dodson.  Miami finished third overall in the afternoon.

This was the very last IHSA show for veteran riders, Allie Graves and Kayla Kuhlman who are graduating this December.  Allie started riding in the beginner KNH classes here at Miami.  She worked her way through the walk/jog and Intermediate I and II divisions, starting this semester in Novice. Kayla also began her Miami riding in the KNH classes and joined the team her sophomore year.  Kayla began in the Intermediate division and finished this year in the Novice.   MUET wants to congratulate Allie and Kayla on all of her accomplishments riding for Miami.
