The progress of Miami University Equestrian

Dressage at Kentucky, Holiday Edition

‘Twas the weekend before finals, when all through the show,
all the students were studying, although to their woe.
All the riders were dressed and got ready with care,
In the hopes that their horses would help them win with flair.

The riders all rode with with winning in mind,
and the team took 2nd and the whole team shined.
Elizabeth Foster took third on a handsome brown bay,
and Kendal Neubeiser got second and we were well on our way.

Eastyn Newsome took blue and High Point that day,
and rode so well she won us the game.
The team packed up their things and drove home once more,
back to the world where finals would fill them with bore.

On December 4th, the Miami Dressage team traveled to the University of Kentucky to compete in their last show of the semester. The team did a great job staying focused, especially with final exams starting on Monday.
Every time the Dressage team travels to Kentucky for a show, they get lunch at their favorite sandwich shop, Wallace Station. Wallace Station was featured on Diner, Drive-ins, and Dives on the food network, and has become a tradition for every Kentucky horse show.

The team is currently second in the region, and ended the semester strong. The team will have two more shows next semester, which will determine qualifications for Nationals.
Congratulations to all riders, and we hope your finals went well!
