Miami takes on IDA and hunt seat clinic

On April 22nd, dressage riders Natalie Davis, Elizabeth Foster, Eastyn Newsome, and coach Courtney Previte boarded a plane to New Jersey to compete at IDA Nationals at Centenary College. The three riders competed on Saturday in the individual competition, and all rode beautifully.  The group enjoyed a magic themed dinner on Friday night including a hypnotist.  Centenary College was a wonderful host and all of the horses were lovely.

At home this same weekend, Miami also hosted a jumping clinic with Heather Irvine. Heather is the owner of Hillside Farms in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.  She trains riders in hunter, jumper, and equitation.  Heather spends her summer months showing in Michigan and Kentucky and resides in Wellington, Florida for the winter show season.

Miami hunt seat riders, Morehead State University riders, and staff member Amanda Wasser participated in the clinic.  Riders worked on elements of courses, counting strides, and elements of testing throughout the weekend.  All of the horses and riders were great!
